Range

Range Info

The range is normally open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. See below for actual operating hours and closures on any given day. Access to the range is through the compost area. Days and hours are subject to the compost area being open, weather, and the availability of a Range Safety Officer. Call the Main Gate to check the status of the range on a given day.

A pass is required in order to use the range. Day passes are available from the main gate, and annual passes are available at the Admin Office. Shooting Club members receive a discount on both day and annual passes. A current Handgun Safety Certificate from the California DoJ is required to obtain a pass. In lieu of a certificate, a test similar to the DoJ test can be administered. The Handgun Safety Certificate Study Guide is available for download below.

Use the links below to see pictures of the range, see the range schedule for the current month and the next month, get more information about Range Safety Officers, download the Handgun Safety Certificate Study Guide, or download the range rules.

Learn About Range Safety Officers

Whenever the range is open it is staffed by a Range Safety Officer. These volunteers have all completed an NRA Range Safety Officer training class. They are responsible for overseeing the operation of the range and ensuring the safety of everyone involved.

If you are interested in becoming an RSO, contact the Range Supervisor at rangesupervisor@pmlsc.com
